What you will do:
- Monitor ongoing construction and rehabilitation projects to ensure adherence to quality standards and timely completion.
- Share any suggestions and ideas with the team members whenever there is an area for development.
- Assist in data entry tasks to maintain accurate records, log sheets, and inventory related to all Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Shelter team activities.
- Produce weekly/daily progress reports on the schools’ rehabilitation activities, contractors’ work plan status and beneficiary participation as required.
- Collaborate with the Shelter/WASH Technician during monitoring rehabilitation to maintain good implementation standards and timely completion.
- Report daily about progress, achievements, and challenges.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Engineering, certificate in building/construction or related technical qualification.
- Minimum of one year experience in humanitarian organization, especially in the Shelter and WASH sector.
- Experience in monitoring construction and managing contractors is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the minimum shelter and WASH standards (e.g., Sphere).
- Excellent communication skills in Arabic, a reasonable level of English in reading and speaking.
- Report writing skills and computer skills Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and spreadsheets.
- Commitment to humanitarian principles and values.
