Founded in 2007, Samandal Association is a volunteer-based Lebanese NGO dedicated to the advancement of the art of comics. Based in Beirut, it has published a variety of books and magazines and hosted many workshops and events at both the national and international levels.
Samandal's work focuses on social, humanitarian and gender issues, women’s rights, and utopian visions. Our activities served as a medium for minorities and discriminated-against communities to make their voices heard.

Samandal is a Lebanese association founded in 2007 and dedicated to the advancement of the art of comics in the Arab world. The core of our activities is the publication and diffusion of comic books as well as the promotion of Arab cartoonists through workshops and festivals.
