The outreach worker intervenes in a diverse environment to support vulnerable citizens of all ages and backgrounds through their difficulties. Their role is to provide assistance to enable service users to help themselves while maintaining professional relationships with service users, acting as guides and advocates.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support in all aspects of the implementation of the project (programmatic, monitoring, administrative, logistic, etc.)
  • Understand in depth the project and its objectives to be able to answer the questions of the applicants
  • Support the recruitment of the beneficiaries
  • Fill a social file for each beneficiary and integrate all related information on the system
  • Provide listening, support, and counselling services to all beneficiaries
  • Refer beneficiaries internally and/or to relevant NGOs and/or service providers when needed
  • Conduct home visits to assess the needs of the beneficiaries and to ensure adequate social follow up
  • Conduct field visits depending on the follow-up to be provided to each beneficiary
  • Conduct working groups with different beneficiary categories (women, men, children, PWD…)
  • Ensure proper follow up on all actions to be considered for individual/family/group cases till achieving desired results
  • Prepare monthly progress reports on cases of beneficiaries and on activities implemented
  • Participate in training and attend meetings
  • Coordinate with other partners/stakeholders in the regions working to avoid duplication and provide better services

 

EXPERIENCE:

Preferably previous experience working with vulnerable populations

At least one year’s experience in similar jobs or volunteering in NGOs 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum education level of a High School Diploma
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to the needs of the team and organization.
  • Strong English skills and fluency in Arabic
  • Attention to detail with strong follow up
  • Team-oriented, with ability to work efficiently independently.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating effectively with others
  • Can multitask, work well under pressure, and work efficiently to meet strict deadlines
