Oxfam is seeking a contractor to rehabilitate water network in Roumin, Nabatiyeh District. The contractor shall replace the old damaged galvanized pipes by HDPE pipes.
Operational objective:
Content of Works:
1.The project includes excavation, backfilling, and road reinstatement works along a total trench length of 1400 m.
2.All pipes are available with SLWE, the contractor should transport the pipes from the SLWE’s warehouse located in Saida to the site in Roumin
3.Two damaged lines to be removed and replaced by new HDPE pipes, the new pipes will be installed in the same trench.
4.The Contractor shall provide all the needed fittings and accessories needed for installation and connection.
5.The Site Engineer may amend what they deem "technically" suitable for the project and after taking the approval of Oxfam, and the Contractor must abide completely with what was required by the supervising committee.
6.The Contractor’s relationship will directly be with OXFAM staff.
7.The supervising committee has the right to require re-implementation at the contractor's expense if the work does not meet the agreed specifications.
8.OXFAM will inform the contractor on the date of starting the construction one week ahead.
9.The contractor shall execute all works required in the presence of the site Engineer or his representative considering that the supervision committee has the right to require re-implementation in case of violation of the agreed specifications.
10.An Oxfam staff or a representative will be responsible to monitor and confirm the work.
11.The contractor should have the capacity to complete this works within 15 calendar days.
12.Oxfam has the right to increase or decrease quantities at the same unit cost.
Safety and Protection
1.The contractor is fully responsible for securing the worksite and ensuring public safety.
2.The contractor must install appropriate road barriers, traffic signs, and warning signals to prevent accidents and disruption during all stages of work.
3.Failure to secure the site adequately will make the contractor liable for any resulting accidents or damage.
Damage to Existing Infrastructure
1.The contractor is responsible for any damage to existing infrastructure (roads, utilities, underground services) caused during excavation or construction.
2.All damaged infrastructure must be repaired at the contractor’s expense, to the satisfaction of the site engineer and OXFAM.

The supplier should submit:
1.Copies of the original documents that indicated the establishment or the legal status and registration of the supplier.
2.Suppliers should provide three references, (company name, contact name and phone number).
3.Submit a list of customers from the past two years, detailing relevant experience in the same domain. The list should include the company name, contact person, and phone number.
4.Provide CVs of key personnel, person will be on site (project manager, site engineer).
5.I.D. copy for the person signing on the bid empowered by the power of attorney.
6.Submit priced Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
7.Fresh Account bank details (if applicable)
Contractor experience and requirements:
1.The contractor must have proven experience in similar roadwork and infrastructure projects, executed similar projects in South Lebanon is preferred.
2.The contractor must provide evidence of successful completion of similar projects, including references and completion certificates Field visit
