Two powerful explosions took place on Tuesday August 4th leaving more than 300,000 Lebanese citizens without shelters including a major collapse of structural walls and roofs of houses and serious damage in house structure . That blast wave levelled buildings near the port and caused extensive damage over much of the rest of the capital, which is home to two million people.
The damage rocked an already fragile Beirut that already suffered from a dreadful economic crisis and covid 19 backlashes.
OSAS (the Lebanese Organization for Safety And Sustainability) moved rapidly to step up its emergency response plan by sending its team of experts/engineers to assess the affected areas taking into account the required Safety Measures. Currently, we are seeking volunteers, mainly technicians & electricians, to work with our technical team on the rehabilitation plan that was initiated at the begining of this crisis.
Electrician Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
- Read technical diagrams and blueprints. Perform general electrical maintenance.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate of testing devices.
- Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
