Introduction
In the framework of NAHNOO’s work on promoting civic engagement, transparency and good governance in Lebanon, we are pleased to invite consultants to apply as trainers for 1 or more of the below described workshops. The series of trainings will be delivered between April and December 2017, more details are provided below.  
An applicant can choose to apply to only 1 or more of the workshops.
All workshops are to be prepared and delivered in ARABIC.
Application deadline: March 22
 
1)  Introduction to the notion and standards of Good Governance workshop (approx. 2-day workshop)
This workshop introduces the concept of Good governance, its elements, tools, resources, models, and potentially discuss relevant case studies.
2)   Workshop on the Legal and Financial Framework of Local and National Governance in Lebanon (approx. 4-days workshop)
This workshop will focus on Lebanon’s overall governance and fiscal structure, giving an overview of the foundational legal texts.
3) Public Policy Evaluation workshop (approx. 2-days workshop)
This workshop will give an overview on policy evaluation at the national or local level, and link the theoretical concepts to the Lebanese context (potentially through case studies).
4)  Legal and Participatory Accountability workshop (approx. 1 day workshop)
This workshop focuses on the different forms of monitoring and accountability of public institutions whether legal (administrative, financial, judicial, etc) or social, and whether at the national or local level.
5) Participatory Budgeting workshop (approx. 1 day workshop)
This workshop discusses budgets at the national or municipal level is in Lebanon, what a citizen budget is and how to use it to hold officials accountable or participate in decision-making and present case studies from other countries.
6) International Treaties workshop (approx. 1 day workshop)
This workshop will give a presentation of main and important international treaties, conventions, etc. relevant Good Governance and will present case studies of how they could be leveraged for reform or advocacy purposes.
