We are currently seeking to hire an experienced full-time Accountant to join our team at NAHNOO.

Duties and responsibilities
With input from the organization’s Executive Director, Programs Manager and Grants Manager, the position holder will be responsible for all NAHNOO’s financial work and documents to keep transparent, safe and organized. Specifically:
Maintain NAHNOO’s general accounting system (with Silicon software) and track expenditures related to each of the NGO’s project
Review the presence of relevant financial documents and signed proof of payment for each expense, including salaries and consultation (invoice, receipt, Timesheets etc)
Organize the cash box and ensure petty cash log is up to date
See to the preparation of payments according to funds availability
File financial data & documents in an organized and orderly way as soft copy and hard copy, committing to grants requirements
Preparing financial reports for each project in a timely manner according to grants’ requirements
Update NAHNOO’s financial policies and procedures when necessary
Attend relevant meetings with partners when necessary
Attend workshops when necessary i.e which increase the accountant’s capacity in financial matters related to NGO financial management
Reconcile on a monthly basis the projects bank account with their bank statements
Provide NAHNOO with a monthly budget comparison for each of NAHNOO’s project
Prepare payroll of NAHNOO’s employees and consultants
Proceed to back up the data from the accounting system
Tend to the preparation, declaration and submission of employees’ Social Security benefits and Tax on Salary.
Develop the NGO’s annual report in collaboration with the Auditor
Develop the NGO’s annual financial statement and the NGO’s annual balance to submit to the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Finance.
General qualifications:
Level of academic background: BA with a certificate of Accounting
Experienced user of Silicon accounting software
Relevant experience in non-profit organization
Proficiency in MS Office skills, particularly Excel
Ease in written and spoken English and Arabic
Good organizational skills, punctuality, and ability to meet deadlines
Team spirit
