Background:
Min ila is a civil, independent and non-governmental organization founded in Lebanon on September 2013. Min ila envisions a society with active, empowered and alerted citizens capable of creating a social change. Its mission is to empower citizens – especially the youth and the marginalized – through fostering civic education, promoting a culture of social responsibility and nurturing an engagement to the nation.

This position requires working with team members in a regular office environment with occasional field visits.
Job Summary:
Min ila seeks a dynamic, motivated and committed person looking for an internship opportunity in the field of accounting and finance with a newly established local NGO. This internship is an excellent opportunity to provide on hand experience and knowledge in various aspects of work related to the fields listed above.
Job Responsibility: 

Inputting all data related to payments into the accounting software.
Performing bank reconciliations and prepare necessary payments.
Organizing and maintaining the filing of all documents supporting financial transactions.
Scanning of accounting documents and saving them in the shared folders.
Contacting clients and suppliers for payment collection.
Orderly maintaining filing to facilitate access to relevant documents.
Enforcing procurement procedures and policies.

Academic and Technical Competencies:

Experience: Not required but it is a plus.
Completed or working towards a bachelor degree in Business or related fields: Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Economics, etc.
Excellent knowledge in Accounting Software and IT (QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel).
Good knowledge of languages (Arabic, English and French is a plus).
Good communications skills (Oral and written).

Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality of documents.
Interest and knowledge in the development field.
Creative and innovative mindset.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Able to prioritize work, multi-task, and meet deadlines.

Duration of position:
Effective date: Immediately
Duration: 2 to 6 months renewable – 2 to 3 days per week (full time).
Remuneration:
Salary: This is an unpaid internship. However, non-financial incentives will be provided based on availability such as trainings and networking with other organizations.
