MARCH Lebanon
March is a non-profit organization established in 2011, dealing with conflict resolution, countering radicalization and promoting cultural diversity and inter-cultural dialogue in Lebanese marginalized areas using art and culture as catalysts for tolerance, reconciliation, and peace-building. MARCH uses art, cultural and development projects to reconcile communities in conflict or at war. As an example, our first pilot project in the northern city of Lebanon, Tripoli, has successfully turned young fighters into theater actors and friends, that performed on stage their struggles, hopes and dreams. You can see the trailer of the documentary of the project here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZHz1NyuB1o
We have shared our successful experience in peacebuilding and conflict resolution through art, culture and development in several international conferences such as:
- FriEnt Peacebuilding Forum 2018 : Enhancing Peacebuilding Together (13-14 June 2018, Berlin) : https://www.frient-peacebuilding-forum.de/programme-and-speakers-2018/speakers/lea-baroudi/
