Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform and evaluate PSS activities on the field including: life skills trainings, skills trainings, awareness and community groups
  • Support the team in planning, drafting the proposals and implementing special occasion activities
  • Fill the Psychosocial wellbeing baseline and Endline tools in addition of the satisfactory surveys.
    Contribute to establishing and implementing operational work plans, setting clear targets and activity plans for ongoing project for the PSS component
  • Review targets/achievements on weekly basis
  • Monitor Awareness and PSS sessions and ensure they are in line with the approved content
  • Monitor Community Groups’ content activities
  • Ensure that data on reporting tools, monthly and weekly reports are matching
  • Provide direct psychosocial support and refer internally and externally as needed, respecting confidentiality and the right of the beneficiary
  • Contribute in ongoing field assessments and data collection as required
  • Work alongside the team in terms of coordinating groups and activities run by the team, also in coordinating OVs awareness activities and sessions, and all other PSS activities to be delivered
  • Prepare PO’s for transportation fees for some community groups
  • Prepare biweekly schedules and monthly reports for all activities
  • Prepare monthly schedules, CDC attendance sheets, procurement plans and other related tasks
  • Work closely with the CM sector for referral purposes
  • Conduct focus group discussions with beneficiaries especially by the beginning of each year to specify their need and prepare a work plan for the whole year
  • Contact new community-based organizations to coordinate and get safe space for PSS activities like in centers
  • Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others

    General Duties

    • Follow Makhzoumi Foundation’s operational policy and procedures
    • Respect the internal policies and procedures for example: dress code, attendance, discipline, etc.
    • Complete schedules, activity planners and act against any shortfalls
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

    Qualifications and Education Requirements:

     

    Education:

    Minimum a Bachelor Degree in Psychology, Social Work or any other related field. Master’s degree is preferred.

     

    • Fresh graduates are welcomed, candidates with one year of experience or more are preferred
    • Experience working in NGO is a plus
    • Experience in working in a cross cultural environment preferable

    Languages:

    • Fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English

    Computer Proficiency:

    • Proficient in Word and Excel
