In the time of individualisation, digitalisation, networking along with the emergence of the enlightened consumer has posed new challenges as well as opportunities for marketing, and the demand for digital marketing professionals has been fuelled by the growth of internet usage.
What we market may not have changed but how we market has changed. The evolving discipline of digital marketing offers opportunities for innovation, profitability, affordability, measurability and targeting. Digital marketing has not only opened opportunities for the organisation, but also enormous opportunities have boomed for digital marketers, web designer, web analyst and web developer.
On the other way, the COVID-19 pandemic is driving the scope of digital marketing even further online, as one of the solutions available to the repercussions of the economic and commercial crisis caused by the pandemic.
Every business today wants to learn How to setup a business online which has led to a rapid growth in digital marketing.
Since digital marketing is growing at a rapid pace, the demand for digital marketing professionals has seen a proportional growth and gives a wide array of career options for professionals who want to get into digital marketing.
The aim of the designed program is to assist in its efforts to structure and run trainings for youth and women, with the purpose of linking them to career path in digital marketing and digital marketing job opportunities, by increasing the quality and quantity of learning in the area of Digital Marketing, therefore raising living standards to support their household and families.
Based on the justifications for the project, and as a result of the repercussions of the economic crisis in Lebanon, in addition to the crisis caused by COVIDE-19, Therefore what is needed is an innovative approach to address issues at hand, and to find urgent solutions has become a necessity to contain the crisis and address its economic, social and security implications. Through the accumulated experience of the LAID team, the program proposal was designed with multiple components, based on education status of target group that will focuses on building skills that will lead to up-skilling and equip them with pathway to sustainable development and livelihoods using an advanced learning strategy and latest training methodology.
The program targeted 30 Lebanese and non-Lebanese youth, from unemployed, losing their job due to COVID-19 or current economic crisis, or daily unskilled workers, from South area.
The entire training program is due to be implemented in 13 weeks (2 trainings) from the initial start date to complete delivery of the program.
Program will be conducted in 2 rounds, each round continues for 10 weeks.
The total duration of each training is 72 hours (Without Soft Skills Sessions), the Theoretical section will be taught in approximately 30 hours (40% of the whole program) and the Practical section in Approximately 42 hours (60%), for a period of 12 days, in addition to 3 days of Soft skills, in which sessions are for 6 hours daily (from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm) and 4 days per week.
Moreover, if needed, there will be extra additional group coaching sessions for the trainees undergoing the soft skills training to further identify the interests, capabilities, and situations of the participants.
Upon training completion, and during 3 months, 35% of trainees will be connected to part-time, full-time, seasonal or self-employment opportunities.
The objective behind is for the skilled participants to gain and develop a strong understanding concepts in digital marketing, and covers some of the important tools and techniques of digital marketing and data analysis.
This training is designed for theoretical and practical learning, therefore, most concepts will be linked with hands-on training, where students will be expected to work with marketing datasets, dummy display ads, virtual website optimisation, SEO based on instructions in lectures and class discussions. The live experience of analysing responses with analytical software, the launching of dummy display ads, creating optimisation of website through Google Adwords are some of the key features of the training.
