The LMTA is currently seeking a qualified and motivated candidate for the position of Fundraising Coordinator (FC) to ensure measurable fund raising tasks are delivered within a clear action plan for all fundraising projects, events and activities. The FC will report directly to the LMTA’s Head of Fundraising for day-to-day management and wider strategic direction. The incumbent will be involved in a broad variety of fundraising activities and will engage with a range of stakeholders, including members and supporters, business partners and donors who are existing or will become new contributors to the Association.
Role Purpose, Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement the Fundraising Strategy (which is already in place), with a specific focus on diversifying and expanding fundraising channels for both restricted and unrestricted funds.
- Drive effective individual, community and corporate fundraising and grow the supporter base while building awareness to the LMTA cause.
- Compile and maintain a donor relationship database of international and local donors (diaspora, international foundations, philanthropists, donor agencies and corporations).
- Regularly monitor tenders and grants published in the public domain, identify and inform about donor opportunities in line with -LMTA’s mandate and mission.
- Conduct online research and build contacts with potential individual donors segregated by region and by donor preference (i.e. trail conservation, cultural / natural / heritage conservation, long term advocacy work, trail-related educational activities).
- Maintain relationships with existing donors and respond to their requests regularly.
- Send appeal letters, impact reports, ask and non-ask communication and update.
- Update the donor base about ongoing and contemplated programs.
- Develop and grow the Membership program via campaigns conducted in collaboration with the communication team.
Knowledge/Skills and Experience:
Experience
- University degree in business/economics, public administration or other related field of study.
- 5-10 years of recent and relevant fundraising experience preferably with an NGO.
- Proven experience in achieving fundraising objectives.
- Experience in communicating and raising funds for a cause including community fundraising, impact fundraising and donor support.
- Working knowledge of Donor Relationship Management software application.
Knowledge and Skills
- Fundraising in the NGO sector using a broad range of fundraising channels.
- Fundraising and social marketing techniques to motivate donors.
- Proven track record of communication skills with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Ability to start, build and cultivate relationships with a global network of donors.
- Good administrative and financial skills with sound computer literacy, including a familiarity with MS office.
- Ability to multitask and deliver within a specific timeline.

- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision or direction.
- Well organized with effective time management skills.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends if required.

- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English (French a plus but not required).
