Description: 
  • Work with LCPS team on the Center’s strategy and develop projects and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Manage a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
  • Work closely with projects teams and maintain balance in daily projects management to ensure program goals are met.
  • Develop, submit and negotiate projects funding proposals.
  • Develop operating plans for projects.
  • Control projects deadlines, budgets, activities and reporting.
  • Devise and manage projects monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders regarding project issues and decisions on activities and outputs.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports of projects status throughout their life cycle.
  • Analyze programs’ and projects’ risks and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Resolve projects issues and initiate appropriate corrective action.
  • Ensure effective quality assurance of projects activities and research outputs.
  • Ensure adequate allocation of resources and skills within individual projects.
  • Manage third party contributions to projects.
  • Manage communications with stakeholders, mainly with donors.
  • Oversee LCPS project publications production and dissemination (books, policy papers and briefs, infographics and videos)
  • Assist with media relations to make sure LCPS publications/events are covered.

   Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in management, social or political science. 
  • At least 7 years of experience in programs/projects management. 
  • Proven knowledge of program and project management methods and tools. A certificate in the field is a plus. 
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Working knowledge of program/project management software (MS Project etc.) is a strong advantage. 
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills. 
  • Proven stakeholder management skills. 
  • Proven experience managing a team. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Excellent problem-solving ability. 
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures. 
  • Good understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with third parties. 
  • Good knowledge of techniques for monitoring and evaluating program and projects. 
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic languages. 
  • Good knowledge of the requirements of written publications, videos and other visuals production.
