The Knowledge Workshop KW is hiring!

 

KW is a feminist organization based in Beirut, that works on storytelling and oral history, researching women’s stories and histories, and making feminist resources more accessible.

 

The coordinator is expected to:

  • Support KW in growing its storytelling and oral history project
  • Work in close collaboration with the KW and oral history team, including researchers, audio editors and designers
  • Support KW’s oral history researchers in their projects
  • Support in updating KW’s tools and systems of archiving and disseminating old and new stories and oral histories
  • Coordinate a workshop related to oral history and storytelling
  • Contribute to meetings and activities related to storytelling and oral history

 

Qualifications:

  • MA in Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences (or equivalent experience)
  • Prior experience in working with storytelling and/or oral history
  • At least three years of experience in coordinating projects
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of feminist productions in Lebanon is a big plus
  • Familiarity with audio editing, design, is a plus
  • Residence in Lebanon, and fluency in Arabic, are requirements for this position
