Site Controller

Jouzour Loubnan Site Controller is an essential function in an NGO distinguished by its close control & follow-up of the planted seedlings for a period of at least 3 years. The continuous success and progress of the NGO depends highly on the quality of the site due diligences operated by the recruited site controller.
The role of Jouzour Loubnan’s Site Controller is:

To conduct based on a yearly plan, continuous, regular and on an as needed basis Site Controls on each Jouzour Loubnan active and inactive planted sites. After each visit a detailed report must be submitted (within max of 2 days) to his manager. In the Report, the Controller must have covered all the aspects of the site’s works.

To conduct, based on a yearly plan, continuous, regular and upon need Site Surveys on each Jouzour Loubnan active and inactive planted sites. Through a detailed survey submitted (within max of 2 days) to his Manager. In the Survey, the Controller must cover all the aspects of the site seedlings.

To submit and recommend to his Manager potential site for plantation through a detailed proposal.

COMPETENCIES:
Good knowledge in Contracting practices, Irrigation techniques, Administration & Management, Statistics, Mapping … is a plus.
Communication skills:o Good written and oral with an emphasis on a keen ability to produce clear reports, synthesis and other documents to be shared.o Knows to communicate with workers, foreman, contractors and locals in rural areas.Attitude & key behavioral skills:o Highly flexible mindset, strong character when needed, not easily influenceable, knows to stay objective and neutral, knows to listen.o Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.Technical skills:o Knows how to use a GPS, to read a map, to use Google Earth.o Computer literate including knowledge of MS Office.
Physical condition:o Must be in a very good physical condition capable of hiking and working in difficult environment.o Good sense of orientation.
Other skills:o Initiative, reasoning ability, independent, strong time management and organizational skills, acute negotiation skills, sharp observer, detailed oriented, accuracy, quick learner.o Passion for environmental conservation and sustainable development.o Strong familiarity with forestation and environmental matters in Lebanon and the region.
