Jafra Area Coordinator
Jafra Foundation for Relief and Youth Development actively works to empower communities and create hope. We provide relief and empowerment to some of the most vulnerable populations in the Levant. Working across 10 programming sectors, we ensure we meet the basic needs of groups and rebuild livelihoods for the future. Jafra is currently seeking an Area Coordinator to be based in Shatila Camp.
Area Coordinator Job Description:
- Make sure that all documents submitted are submitted within the timeline set by the program manager and that all deadlines are respected.
- In charge of following up on the contact with local and regional partners
- Attend regular calls, meetings, etc. required by the regional manager.
- Follow up on the implementation plans
- Ensure that the activities in the area are implemented according to the agreement with the donor
- Coordinate with the Program Manager and the MEAL team regarding details related to the target, partners, division of the area or other implementation challenges and submit a monthly report with related information.
- Report on a monthly basis to the Program Manager.
- Maintain regular communication and visits for project sites to ensure that the project achieves the goal
- Prepare a progress Report quarterly.
- Suggest and request new templates, forms, log sheets, and procedures from the programs and from the Program Manager and the MEAL team that facilitate the follow up on the implementation in the area.
- Answer all employees concerns regarding any policy or procedure
- Verify that all administrative documents are filled properly and signed by the team members in coordination with the staff
- Ensure the organizational induction for new employees (presentation, policies, procedures, laptop, mail, and others) in the area
- Accomplish all tasks required by the Program Manager
- Ensure visibility on the field during activities as per the Communication Department and program requirements
- Monitor All field visits, and conduct at least one monthly field visit to the implementation sites
- Conduct trainings for the beneficiaries providing them with information about the projects, donors, activities
- To supervise and ensure data collection
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Completion of secondary education (Grade 12)
Experience: At least 3 years of relevant work experience
Excellent command of spoken and written English & Arabic
Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
Excellent organizational & time management skills
Problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work and communicate well with a variety of individuals, with professionalism and goodwill.
