As part of the projects IOCC is conducting, the Livelihood Officer creates the ToRs and modules for all the technical trainings serving sustainability and income-generation. The livelihood officer will be Responsible for the operations linking the community kitchen with the agriculture farm and will ensure timely implementation of the business plan to be able to create sustainability measuring tools. 

 

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  1. Follow up with the community kitchen on the initially developed business plan and its implementation path.
  2. Provide directives for the business consultant on the kitchen’s position in terms of sustainability.
  3. Create tools and templated to document the linkage between the community kitchen and the agricultural farm.
  4. Build relationships with small producers, agribusinesses, unions, and local municipalities.
  5. Help the Senior FS/WASH Program Coordinator to develop training material on livelihood, entrepreneurship, etc…
  6. Conduct market assessment and analyze kitchen’s positioning.
  7. Ensure the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the Cash for Work projects.
  8. Develop relevant documents and sector specific information sheets.
  9. Participate in building the capacity of project team members, implementing activities, organizing meetings and training.
  10. Attend livelihood working group meetings.
  11. Provide regular reports, as well as share and manage data to the relevant working groups and partner agencies, including without limitation, Activity Info.
  12. Attend and participate in IOCC meetings.
  13. Perform other duties as required or assigned.

 

 Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA): 

  • Knowledge and experience with livelihood programs, agriculture, economics, social science and one or more other relevant areas (community development, social work).
  • Good knowledge and experience of working with local partner agencies with a capacity to provide formal and informal training.
  • Experience and understanding of sector objectives and community mobilization in relation to livelihood programs.
  • Understanding in development and relief issues.
  • Sensitivity to the needs and priorities of disaster-affected populations.
  • Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and experience in Microsoft Office; computer literate with a high degree of proficiency and productivity.
  • Significant knowledge and understanding of the current political, economic, cultural, and historical context of the North Lebanon, including prior experience.
