International Center For Migration Policy Development (ICMPD)

ICMPD was established in Vienna, in 1993 and has 15 member state, a mission in Brussels and global representatives including the MENA region. ICMPD carries out migration-related research, projects, and provides policy recommendations to (inter)governmental agencies. ICMPDhas strong expertise in border management/ migration-related capacity building activities and policy development. It has a global track record of project management with the "Integrated Border Management Program" in Lebanon as a flagship example. ICMPD cooperates with governments, NGOs and research institutes, and has produced the Guidelines for IBM in EC External Cooperation which is regarded as an international standard and is used as a key reference by IBM Lebanon.
