Supporting Kidney Dialysis Centre At Hamshari Hospital

Managing and supporting the kidney dialysis unit at Hamshari hospital in Saida with the monthly consumable sets of solutions, filters and other supplies, in addition to maintenance of the dialysis machines and water treatment machine of the centre.

This service is free for the Palestinian community. Although there are 3 beneficiaries that are not Palestinian, nevertheless, they use this service for free.

Overall Objectives:
Due to the bad environmental situations in camps many Palestinians suffer from kidney failure and need dialysis. This service is very expensive and the patient needs 2 or 3 sessions per month. Each session costs about 100$. Our objective is to help them use this service for free. HCS pays all the expenses of the dialysis sets for 58-60 patients. Our long-term objective is to ameliorate the socio-economic situation of the Palestinian community in Lebanon and to have an active role in society
Activities:
Regular field visits to the centre. Interviews with patients for how to serve them better. HCS contracted with agents for the monthly consumable sets and makes the order monthly and according to demand. HCS pays all the invoices.
