Haqqi Awrath

"Haqqi  Awrath" is a Lebanese non-governmental organization established in 2018 and obtained official recognition under decree number 296 on March 23, 2021.

"Haki Awrath" was founded by women who had experienced inheritance deprivation. It initially started as a social media campaign on platforms like Facebook to raise awareness about women's rights in general and their right to inheritance in particular. Encouraged by followers, the idea of establishing an association emerged to ensure the campaign's sustainability and to address the topic in a more specialized and comprehensive manner.

- Vision: Ensuring women and girls right to inheritance, removing economic and social barriers, and combating all forms of violence against women, aiming to reach a society that recognizes women as equal partners, decision-makers, and owners of their rights rather than followers.

- Mission: Working towards the eradication of all forms of violence against women and girls, particularly economic violence, through collaboration with civil society, legal actors, social influencers, and authorities, aiming to eliminate all forms of discrimination and achieve gender social justice.

The mandate of "Haqqi Awrath" Association is to advocate for women's inheritance rights and empower them legally and economically. The organization is dedicated to promoting gender equality, combating all forms of violence against women, and working towards social justice. They strive to eliminate discrimination and obstacles that prevent women from exercising their rights, particularly in the realm of inheritance. Through collaboration with civil society, legal actors, social influencers, and authorities, the association aims to create a society that recognizes and respects women as equal partners, decision-makers, and owners of their rights.

 Haqi Awrath is working for women's rights in inheritance and addressing their deprivation of these rights. It aims to raise awareness among women and the community at large about the importance of respecting women's rights to inheritance and empowering them politically and economically to ensure the realization of these rights, and works to change awareness and transform the community's approach to this issue fairly and equitably.
