Syrian crisis emergency response in Lebanon Northern Bekaa

Disability & Vulnerability Focal Point (DVFP) have been developed based on the observation that one of the greatest difficulties following a crisis is not only to identify and to access to vulnerable people including people with disabilities, but also to accompany them without “losing” during the entire time of the emergency. To avoid these difficulties, the strategy that proved to be most relevant is the following: place in the heart of each affected community dedicated teams, and to inform any vulnerable person and/or with disability victim of the crisis, she/he can receive welcome and services. This system creates a support and referral network for the identified people and for their families. Direct complementary services are also provided based on identified needs and resources.
