Vitas s.a.l. (Vitas) is a leading microfinance institution in Lebanon, dedicated to financial inclusion and economic development. Founded in 1999 as a nongovernmental organization, Vitas transitioned to become Lebanon’s first non-bank financial institution regulated and supervised by the Central Bank and all other regulatory authorities, in 2007. Vitas provides various financial services, focusing on business growth, housing, and consumer needs, with a special emphasis on underserved, rural, and semi-urban areas. During the past twenty years, Vitas has continued to achieve strong growth and maintained an advanced position in terms of customer-centric financial inclusion, with a commitment to transparency and quality of service, in fulfillment of its mission to provide financial products and services to meet customer needs, and promote the sustainable development of individuals, their businesses, their families and the communities in which they live.
