Fista - Riverside School - Daychounieh
Construction of a new School in Daychounieh:
Relocation of the school for special needs students, from prefabricated units in Jall-el-Deeb to permanent environmentally friendly, organic architectural concrete buildings in Daishounieh; along with training centers, Residential quarters for students with special needs and in-house teachers.
Overall Objectives:
-Creating a community learning center, by providing premises to cater for schools and vocational centers and other educational and therapeutic facilities, including Kindergarten and Residential facilities that are run by FISTA.
-Meeting the needs of exceptional children and adults to improve their setting and place them in a better environment.
- Fostering a sense of self-sufficiency and self-confidence in special students.
-Training them to acquire academic, artistic and social skills, in addition to vocational and professional training.
-Focusing on organic architecture; an environmentally-friendly form of construction is unique in the Arab World.
-Ensuring the implementation of FISTA
Activities:
The organization has different sections. Its activities focus on educational, vocational and independent skill teaching.
- FISTA kindergarten day care for children with developmental impediment.
- Diagnostic center for exceptional students: assessing special children
