Deliverables

  1. Strategic Planning, Advising, Coordination and Technical Support at CERD
    1. Contribute to the design and elaboration of the CERD strategic plan, support communication around it with relevant stakeholders and follow up on implementation according to the approved action plan.
    2. Coordinate all aspects related to the development of the new curriculum under the guidance of CERD president and ensure proper implementation and follow-up.
    3. Advise on the structure of CERD work teams to best implement the programs and monitor progress and expertise needed to achieve the specified activities and outcomes.
    4. Provide guidance to the heads of the CERD departments and units and provide the necessary technical expertise to support them along the way.
    5. Support coordination with donors, project focal points and external stakeholders engaged in program implementation to ensure integration and coherence as well as the sustainability of CERD interventions.
    6. Support CERD teams in conducting periodic and mid-year reviews and making relevant adjustments to the work plan and budget.
    7. Liaise with CERD internal audit to ensure integration of best practices, provide audit reports, and train and empower relevant CERD teams.
    8. Ensure capacity building and transfer of knowledge to the staff at CERD to the center staff across the various projects in coordination with the human resources specialist.

  3. Multiple Flexible Pathways
  1. Support the implementation of the MFP agenda of the MEHE and CERD under the supervision and responsibility of the President of the Educational Center for Research and Development.
  2. Manage the team of consultants working on the Multiple Flexible Pathways (MFP) and monitor the deliverables of the main components of the projects, namely:
    1. The revision of the content of all the non-formal education programs, including the assessment strategy;
    2. The development the minimum standards and qualifications for teachers in NFE, development and rollout of training modules to implementing NGO sector partners;
    3. The development of a certification and accreditation mechanism that allow transition of children from NFE to formal education or other youth programs; and
    4. The development of policies that ensures proper transition of children from NFE programs to formal education or youth programs according to established and approved multiple flexible pathways.
  3. Coordinate with various departments inside the CERD, namely the Joint Academic Departments (JAD) and the Pre-service and In-service Training Bureau (PITB) as well as the MEHE focal point from the DG’s office to ensure completion of the deliverables in accordance with the project timeline and requirements.

 

  1. Coordination of projects across CERD and MEHE
    1. Ensure adequate coordination between the MEHE and CERD across all relevant projects with timely and effective delivery of project deliverables.

 

  1. Reporting
    1. Submit periodic reports to the CERD and UNICEF to highlight the progress achieved.
