Finance assistant - Part time
Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for entering financial information and maintaining all financial records for projects and for the organization in Lebanon and Jordan.
- Implementing Etana’s financial policies and procedures.
- Obtain approvals from the Financial Manager and the Operations Director on all procurements and purchases for the projects and for the organization.
- Ensure that all financial reporting is completed on time and submitted to Financial Manager.
- Assists in the financial audits of all Etana projects.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- The Finance Assistant must be knowledgeable of current events in the region and committed to Etana’s vision and goals.
- She/he must have the ability to effectively communicate in both Arabic and English, written and spoken.
- She/he must have good time management, communication and facilitation skills.
- The Finance Assistant must be able to demonstrate excellence in finance and accounting.
Education and experience:
- Accounting qualification such as Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, or its equivalence.
- 1 to 3 years of financial accounting experience, preferably in an NGO environment
- Proficient user of accounting software (preferably Quickbooks)
