 The project is a gender-oriented project, aiming at creating a safe space for women through establishing and empowering a women-led group to advocate for women’s better access to services and enhanced participation in decision-making. It also aims at developing the capacities of marginalized women in Sin El Fil, Bourj Hammoud and Nabaa areas on topics related to gender, gender sensitive approaches, and women political participation. Furthermore, the women core group will act as a focal point through mapping and assessing the needs of vulnerable groups in the area, addressing service providers to share the findings of the assessment and to create means and mechanisms of collaboration and dialogue aiming at ensuring better access to quality services.

Overall objective of the documentary

The overall objective is to produce 5 to 8 minutes documentary highlighting best approaches, best practices, achievements and real impacts of the project through focusing on human stories. Human stories should reflect personal insight of the core group members and their achievements as result of intervention.

Specific tasks for the service provider

 The filmmaker will be required to do the following:

  • Develop the documentary film’s overall concept and scenario
  • Meet with the project staff and core group members for deeper understanding of the project.
  • Develop the documentary script and storyboard to be used in the film.
  • Interview selected participants for the film who will include the core group members and the project staff.
  • Present a draft documentary (with subtitle in English) to the project coordinator for comments on contents.
  • Produce one final documentary film.

Required Qualifications and Experience of the service provider:

 The filmmaker will be required to have the following:

  • More than 3 years’ experience working in similar field
  • Extensive experience in producing development work related documents for publication and documentaries for national and international organizations with the aim of reaching both local and international audiences
  • Excellent technical capacities to ensure smooth and high quality production.
  • Experienced and qualified team for shooting, editing, audio, mixing, voiceover, graphics etc.
