Project description
Developing Rehabilitation Assistance to Schools and Teachers Improvement (D-RASATI) will improve educational outcomes in Lebanon by improving teacher and student performance, increasing community and parental involvement, and improving the school learning environment.  D-RASATI is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Title:  Receptionist
 
Summary: Education Development Center is seeking a Receptionist to support all project activities including word processing, meeting coordination, scheduling, travel arrangements and other support services as required.  The Receptionist will effectively interact with a diverse staff, engage as a member of a team, accept feedback, troubleshoot questions or problems and will seek help, supervision and support as needed. This position reports to the Office Manger and will be located in Beirut, Lebanon.
 
 
Essential functions include [but are not limited to]:
 

§ Prepare documents, photocopies, catalogs, and electronic data;
§ Navigate internet for data and track information;
§ Maintain records and files;
§ Create correspondence as needed;
§ Coordinate appointments and travel schedules;
§ Maintain office equipment;
§ Perform various assigned duties to balance workload;
§ Greet all visitors and employees in a friendly and courteous manner;
§ Attend to incoming and outgoing calls;
§ Screen and announce all visitors;
§ Assist accountant with photocopying of vouchers;
§ Fax documents as requested;
§ Type and photocopy as needed;
§ Keep front desk and reception area neat at all times;
§ Handle the office petty cash and ensure proper documentation for cash payments.
§ Provide inventory support; and track the inventory of office supplies and stationery.
§ Apply organizational terms, procedures, systems, and policies;
§ Perform other duties to assist with overall balance of project workload.

 
Qualifications and Requirements:
 

§ High School diploma, Vocational training  or equivalent with  1-3 years relevant experience;
§ Proficiency in 3 or more computer applications, including word processing and data base management;
§ Strong organizational and analytical skills;
§ Excellent written and oral communications skills;
§ Excellent communication in English required.
USAID experience preferred.
