Community Initiatives Network (CIN) is a youth-led organization established in 2010, dedicated to promoting human security, education, and women's empowerment in disadvantaged areas of North Lebanon. Our team has extensive experience in implementing educational and capacity-building projects that respond to community needs.

 

CIN is seeking to recruit SEL & MHPSS Facilitators.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead interactive sessions and workshops focused on SEL topics, such as empathy, positive relationship-building, and responsible decision-making.
  • Facilitate and encourage the participation of children and adolescents notably the most vulnerable ones, ensuring proper attention to their specific emotional regulation.
  • Adapt SEL activities and materials to meet the developmental needs of participants.
  • Implement the SEL curriculum and lesson plans in alignment with program objectives and learning goals.
  • Create and use age-appropriate activities, games, and role-play exercises that foster social and emotional growth.
  • Encourage active participants engagement and foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment, using reinforcement strategies to boost student confidence and participation in SEL activities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated with the latest SEL approaches, tools, and research.
  • Evaluate and prioritize the needs/issues of the targeted participants.
  • Ensure children and adolescents under her/his responsibility are not exposed to any form of harm or stress during the activities.
  • Support in submitting a monthly report for the achievements and challenges of the project.
  • In coordination with the MEAL team, support in implementing the pre-posttest and satisfaction surveys for the participants.
  • Any other duties related to the nature of the job.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree In sociology, Psychology, or any other related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with migrants or refugees.
  • Experience working in an NGO is a plus.
  • Experience in working in a cross-cultural environment is preferable.
  • Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure, enjoying working in the field.
  • Strong facilitation and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills & Excellent communication skills, including active listening.
  • Proficient in digital skills.

 

Organizational Policies:

  • Adhere to and promote CIN’s Code of Conduct, Child Safeguarding Policy, PSEA Policy, and Gender & Diversity Policy, reporting any potential breaches promptly.
  • Comply with and promote all other CIN policies and procedures, including Internal Regulations and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Actively participate in weekly and monthly coordination meetings.
  • Ensure "Do No Harm" principles are upheld in all SEL engagements.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the line manager that are compatible with the role.

     

NB: CIN has a zero tolerance to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of beneficiaries. Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is everyone’s responsibility and all staff are required to adhere to the code of conduct, that enshrines the principles of PSEA, always (Both during work hours and outside work hours). Familiarization with, and adherence to, the code of conduct is an essential requirement of all staff, in addition to related mandatory training. All staff must ensure that they understand and act in accordance with this clause.
