Student Civic Engagement Conference: Refugees And Marginalized Communities In Lebanon And Egypt

The conference will provide a platform for students in Lebanon and Egypt to share their civic engagement projects with the intent to inform and empower one another, to brainstorm more effective means of engaging with communities, to bring community engagement to the forefront of higher education in the Arab world, and to lobby for civic engagement requirements for education. The event is co-hosted by the Center for Civic Engagement and Community Service (CCECS) at AUB and the American University in Cairo (AUC) and is part of an already established 5 year partnership between the universities.
Agenda:Thursday, November 27: Pre-conference plenary and round table discussions from 10:00am - 4:00pm in West Hall - Auditorium A 
Friday, November 28: Conference from 12:00pm-3:00pm in Charles Hostler Auditorium 
Saturday, November 29: Site Visit to CCECS-KAYANY schools in Bekaa
