Association Justice and Mercy (AJEM) is a nongovernmental organization (NGO) Lebanese nonprofit, nonpolitical and nonsectarian, created in 1996 by a group of social workers. AJEM deals mainly with the respect for human rights, fight against torture and other cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment, and works to abolish the death penalty.
She works mainly in favor of the rights of prisoners, but also drug users, MSM (Men who have sex with men), refugees and asylum seekers, patients and carriers of the AIDS virus. .. It also works with families of those people.

AJEM is looking for a Social Worker to join its multidisciplinary team (psychologists, health and legal services providers) in order to help with the compliance of ARCS and AJEM target groups ( Roumieh’s prison inmates and Rabieh’s shelter ex-prisoners) and how to intervene with them. The Social worker work will consist on conducting and reporting in depth interviews to assess prisoners' and ex-prisoners' needs, providing psychosocial and educational support to groups and monitoring their progress.
