Description: 

Responsibilities:

1. Identify and screen potential borrowers, primarily from marginalized communities, while adhering to our organization's lending policies and social inclusion criteria.

2. Conduct thorough assessments of creditworthiness, analyzing financial information, business plans, and conducting field visits to assess the viability of loan applicants.

3. Assess risks associated with loan applications and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.

4. In collaboration with the loan processing team, ensure accurate and timely loan documentation and disbursement.

5. Provide ongoing support, counseling, and financial advice to borrowers throughout the loan repayment process.

6. Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to monitor loan utilization, address concerns, and provide business mentoring and training.

7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, loan details, and other relevant data in our loan tracking system.

8. Collaborate with team members to continuously improve lending processes, product offerings, and client services.

9. Stay up to date with microfinance industry trends, financial regulations, and market dynamics affecting our target communities.

10. Represent the organization at community events, networking meetings, and other forums to promote our mission and build partnerships.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in a related field such as finance, economics, business administration, or a relevant discipline.

2. Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess business plans and financial statements.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and partners from diverse backgrounds.

4. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

5. Proficient in using MS Office suite and loan tracking software.
