M&E Officer
Background
The ASSABIL Association, as part of its initiative "بالفنون والرياضة نلتقي ونرتقي," aims to enhance mental health, social cohesion, and intercultural dialogue through artistic and sports activities across Lebanon. This project will be implemented as part of the Field Support Services Project for the Middle East, executed by Cowater International , and funded by Global Affairs Canada .
The M&E Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective monitoring and evaluation of project activities, outcomes, and impacts in alignment with the project goals.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring and Evaluation Framework
Develop and implement a comprehensive M&E plan aligned with the project’s logical framework.
Design tools and templates for data collection, monitoring, and reporting.
Data Collection and Analysis
Coordinate data collection from project sites, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to measure project performance against indicators.
Reporting
Prepare monthly, mid-term, and final M&E reports summarizing progress, challenges, and recommendations.
Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to provide evidence-based insights for decision-making.
Capacity Building
Train project staff and partners on M&E tools and methodologies.
Ensure stakeholders understand the importance of monitoring and accountability.
Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with partners, beneficiaries, and external evaluators for effective data exchange and validation.
Provide regular updates to donors and stakeholders as required.
Evaluation
Conduct baseline, midline, and endline evaluations to assess project outcomes and impacts.
Compile lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation within development projects.
Proven experience with M&E frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, or similar).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
Work Conditions
Part-time position with flexible working hours.
Frequent travel to project sites in Beirut, Beqaa, and Mount Lebanon.
Payment based on daily rate ($52/day) for 75 working days over 14 months.
