BRAVE project targets marginalized children, adolescents, youth, and caregivers living in Palestinian camps and gatherings. It encompasses three main components that are Youth Support, Psychosocial Support, and Social Behavioral Change.
ARCPA provides IASC MGPSS Pyramid intervention including community-based PSS, structured ,focus ,case management ,parenting skills and social behavioral change in areas including Beirut, Saida, Tyre, Baalbeck, Tripoli, and Wadi El Zeineh. The programs seek to mitigate the long-term effects of violence and exploitation as well as addressing immediate emotional and psychological needs, and empowering children and caregivers to navigate the challenging circumstances.
The incumbent is required to support the coordination and implementation of PSS activities across all targeted areas. This requires frequent field visits to all areas to monitor the quality of implementation and provide technical support for all PSS team including animators, facilitators social workers and to liaise with psychologists.
Description:
- Supports all Psychosocial Support Program Components in terms of coordination, monitoring, technical support, and evaluation.
- Support in the design of psychosocial interventions tailored to the needs of the target group, ensuring they are culturally appropriate and sensitive to the local context.
- Identify protection and alarming trends and highlight to MHPSS coordinator.
- Supports the development of monitoring and evaluation tools and ensure the effectiveness of their use.
- Support, develop and oversee M&E plans to track the effectiveness and impact of psychosocial programs. Collect, analyze, and report on program data to measure outcomes, identify gaps, and inform strategic decisions.
- Prepare detailed, accurate, and timely reports for internal use, and stakeholders.
- Provides technical support on Gender-Based Violence, Child Protection, Psychosocial Support and case management to AL-JANA’s PSS teams as well as to partners’ teams including animators, trainers, social workers, and psychologists in coordination with the PSS Coordinator/Project Manager.
- Support and develops related proposals and narrative reports.
- Conducts field visits on a regular basis to the different project sites to ensure that activities are being implemented by AL-JANA’s team as well as partners’ teams according to the project work plan and in compliance with the adopted monitoring and evaluation tools;
- Report alarming findings and cases immediately to specialized staff and or PSS Coordinator.
- Support the CP/GBV referral system.
- Facilitates or supports the organization of project-related training, workshops, and events;
- Actively Participates in project meetings and represent AL-JANA in interagency different related coordination meetings/working groups at the national/ field level and provides regular feedback;
- Supports correspondence with partners, in cooperation with the PSS Coordinator and Project Manager.
- Prepares reports; supervise reporting results to activity info and related reporting system
- Maintains close coordination with the PSS Coordinators and relevant team.
- Monitor the implementation of PSEA polices at all centers and safe spaces
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Represents ARCPA in related events as requested;
Education Degree Details:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, or Certified Psychologist, or Drama Therapy, or Sociology, Social Service, and/or related Experience with related UN agencies or L or INGOs.
- related Counseling and Coaching, Certified and/or trained on NSOPS or a related field.
Work Experiences:
- A minimum 3 years of experience in the domain of NGOs or relevant work experience in mental Health and Psychosocial Support programs, experience in Child Protection programs, and any other continuing professional development is an advantage.
- Candidates must have the appropriate skills and training using proven quality and safety methods that underpin the delivery of a mental health and child protection service
- Experience in program designing, implementation, field close monitoring, coaching, efficient reporting, and strong skills in data management
Other skills:
- Experience in the assessment process, evaluation, and technical training
- Good knowledge of Protection Principles, Case Management, PSEA, and Survivor-Centered Care
- Communication skills: Be able to effectively relay instructions and communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for Right Holders (Clients)
- Demonstrate understanding of working with children in particularly vulnerable children.
- Positive, Professional attitude and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to details.
- Ability to work as a team member and team leader, ability to manage multiple teams and activities effectively.
- Excellent computer skills and ability to acquire knowledge through training on different systems: RIMS, CPIMS, activity info, etc.
- Flexible and responsive to program challenges
- Self-Motivated, Interaction, innovative, and able to deal with unexpected tasks.
- Ability to work during emergencies with refugees and vulnerable groups.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, advanced knowledge of psychosocial support practices, trauma-informed care, and MHPSS.
