Job Purpose Summary

 
The Communication and Media Officer is expected to play a key role in developing and managing ANND’s external and internal communications, including ANND’s image and publications.
 

Key Responsibilities and Accountability

 
1-      Responsible for developing and implementing ANND’s Communication Strategy through the following:

Enhancing the involvement of ANND’s members by promoting the Network locally, regionally and internationally.
Relying on the use of social media to reach a larger audience in order to get national, regional and international exposure,  to network with other organizations to increase ANND’s visibility and to engage ANND’s partners, members and stakeholders,
Establishing a solid media relation to extend ANND’s reach, and to deliver its message.
Maintaining a well-designed, well organized website, professional, well designed with the right content, easy navigation and quick accessible details
Issuing the monthly electronic News bulletin issued in Arabic and English. Taking into consideration the adoption of communication based on short messages (SMS), thus providing short and quick information on key development issues in the region.           

2-      Responsible for Creating and assuring the high quality service for texts, graphics, designs.
3-      Responsible for the proofreading of all produced material.
4-      Responsible for coordinating media and press activities (press-releases, press conferences etc.)
5-      Responsible for developing suitable communication instruments (brochures, fact sheets, advertising and audio-visual materials, PowerPoint presentations, newsletter, etc.)
6-      Responsible for circulating relevant information from and to ANND members.
 

Work Experience Requirements

Minimum of 3 years’ of working experience in communication strategy
 

Educational Requirements

Degree in Media and Communication (preferred) or in relevant fields (sociology, development, political science, political economy) or equivalent professional qualification
