Al-Jalil Organization For Development

AL-JALIL ORGANIZATION FOR DEVELOPMENT is a Non-governmental and non-partisan organization obtaining legal number 484 by the Lebanese Ministry of Interior, working with Palestinian and Lebanese children and youth in order to reach a society with a higher understanding and respect towards the human- and civil-rights. 
Doing so by raising the awareness of young people and enable them to participate actively in their communities in cooperation with institutions of civil society and UNRWA. 
 We work in a progressive way, facilitating and increasing the potential for recreational activities, promoting a healthy social environment and the importance of education.
Al-Jalil Organization for Development focuses its activities in a way that implements the principles of human rights, non-discrimination, gender equality and creating spaces for dialogue and joint activities between the Lebanese and Palestinian youth.
We believe in the importance of capacity building and therefore develop all activities together with youth.
With the vision and objectives to MOTIVATE, INSPIRE and ENCOURAGE children and youth to take part in a community development and to EMPOWER them to PARTICIPATE in a positive social change for themselves.
Working to raise awareness of human rights and work to achieve rights by peaceful means.
 Developing of artistic talent, creativity and intellectuality.
Enabling youth to actively participate in their community.
Strengthen the relations and cooperation between the Lebanese and Palestinian youth through active dialogue and joint development activities.
Lifting and improving the level of education and learning for children and young people who are at risk of dropping out of school.
Supporting youth and children by providing an access to knowledge of information technology through training programs on the computer and the Internet
AL-JALIL CENTER IN RASHEDIEH CAMP, Tyre region, is the first center of the organization.
In cooperation with our youth and cooperating organizations we are facilitating for:
 - Sports, art, psycho-social and cultural activities.
 - Improving the level of educational activities
 - Awareness of human rights and community
-Training workshops for youth empowerment
- Computer training and classes on use of Internet
- Dialogue sessions
- Intergenerational activities between youth and elderly.
 
Al-jalil Organization for Development endeavors to expand the work in the future to other Palestinian camps and other marginalized gatherings.
