The Role
Aktis Ltd is recruiting a Finance Coordinator to play a vital role in the development of the Middle East Finance team and deliver value to the regional project teams and the business as a whole. The Finance Coordinator will support both operations and project finances, and is expected to travel up to 50% of the time to Turkey and Jordan.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting project finances in Turkey and Jordan (60%)
· In close coordination with project teams, oversee the project budgets and financial payments of projects in Turkey and Jordan, including:
· Overseeing payments of salaries and expenses within approved project budgets
· Ensuring all calculations and data entries are correct and generating reports for the Finance Manager and Project Teams
· Allocating costs according to expenses categories and transactions
· In some cases, liaising directly with the client to provide accurate reports on project expenses and answer inquiries.
Support financial operations of Aktis Offices (40%)
· Under the supervision of the Beirut-based Finance Manager, oversee the office finances of the Aktis Jordan and Turkey offices in close coordination with operational staff, including:
· Collecting and enter data for financial operations in Aktis budgeting system
· Creating, send, and follow up on invoices
· Performing routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the Finance Manager
· Liaising with accounting firm on tax requirements and payroll procedures
· Reconciling any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or suppliers
· Supervising and issuing payroll payments for employees
· Assisting the Finance Manager in creating financial and accounting reports on a regular basis (P&L, Trial Balance, Budgets, Statement of Accounts)
· Providing financial assistance to employees, clients and suppliers as needed
· Maintaining and update organized financial records and filing
Requirements
The successful candidate must have:
· Minimum of two (2) years in an accounting/ Finance position
· Knowledge in accounting and finance regulations
· Bachelors’ degree in relevant field
· Fluent English (fluent professional proficiency: written level must be comparable to a native speaker)
· Experience communicating finances to clients or donor organisations
· Strong and demonstrated experience using Excel and Word
· Attention to detail, organised and strong reporting skills
· Willingness to travel (Up to 50% per month)
· Right to work in Lebanon
