Akkarouna, a women-led, non-governmental organization, operating within North and Akkar governorates in Lebanon, aiming and committing
to achieve socio-economic growth through the empowerment of women, children and youth by building their capacities, enhancing community networks, and implementing development projects, ensuring gender mainstreaming and spreading awareness on different key topics. Over the past years, Akkarouna has operated its programs following 6 main pillars: Health, Protection, Social Stability, Governance, Education and Livelihood. These sectors are complemented with the Emergency Response Unit responsible for preparing, and responding to any emergency within Lebanon.

This position will lead on livelihood activities for vulnerable families in a defined geographic area of Akkar. This position main role is to lead and follow up with the team to provide livelihood counselling, provide individual needs-based coaching, share relevant information and assist people to reflect on their aspirations, interests, and competencies for income generating opportunities.

The nutritionist will be performing specialized duties related to family health and nutrition, especially children, permanent and lactating women. He/She will help participants to make healthy nutritionist choices – including plan for pregnant and lactating women, and for infant and young child feeding (IYCF) – weight management and malnutrition/hain weight.
The nutritionist will also be responsible for identifying malturition cases and refer them to specialized services and PHCs.
