About Adyan
Adyan, Foundation for diversity, solidarity and human dignity, works locally, regionally and internationally for pluralism, inclusive citizenship, community resilience, and spiritual solidarity, through homegrown solutions in education, media, policymaking, and intercultural and interreligious relations.
Adyan is registered in Lebanon as a non-profit and non-governmental organization (NGO), under registration number 1103 by a ministerial decree dated 18 September 2008.
Background
As part of its commitment to strengthening its Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) system, Adyan is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Monitoring and Evaluation part-timer. This position supports the MEAL team in ensuring effective data collection, analysis, and reporting on project outcomes across various Adyan programs, including projects focused on inter-religious dialogue, human rights, inclusive citizenship, others.
Scope of Work
The M&E part-timer will work under the supervision of the MEAL Coordinator at Aydan, and will contribute to the implementation of M&E tasks as per the team’s scope of responsibilities. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting data collection processes (quantitative and qualitative).
- Assisting in data cleaning, entry, and analysis using Excel and other tools.
- Participating in monitoring visits and documenting observations.
- Supporting the development of MEAL tools and templates.
- Contributing to indicator tracking across projects and maintaining updated data sheets.
- Conducting/taking notes during key informant interviews, focus group discussions and any other relevant events.
Candidate Profile
The candidate must:
- Have minimal proven experience in Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Be a student or recent graduate in Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Administration, Development Studies, Sciences, or a related field.
- Have strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Be proficient in Excel; familiarity with Kobo Toolbox, Activity Info, Forms, or other M&E tools is a plus.
- Demonstrate a commitment to Adyan’s values, mission and vision.
- Be fluent in English and Arabic.
Duration and Workload
This part-time position requires a maximal weekly engagement of 20 hours per week, and maximal monthly engagement of 10 working days per month, for a total duration of 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs.
