About ASA

Achrafieh Social Association was founded in 2001 to support elderly and their caregivers in their daily life. It is included in the "Elderly Home Care" project in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs. ASA brings care, moral and material support via food, clothes, health care, hygiene and awareness.
The association's main vision is to ensure the dignity and protection of its beneficiaries.

Objectif of the position

Working in direct collaboration with the president of the association, the project manager has to manage the overall components of the project and assure that the project meets its objectives and reach the pre-defined indicators.

The project manager is responsible for the design, follow-up, monitoring and reporting of the activities.

Looking for new sources of funding and writing project proposal will also be part of the responsability.

About the project

The project involves elderly communities (including displaced communities) in numerous awareness sessions and social events like lunches and entertainment events to facilitate the integration and interaction between the two elderly communities (the displaced and the Lebanese).

The project aims at supporting elderly communities via community PSS and social events including awareness on health, mental health and other issues relevant to the beneficiaries' well-being.

The project is linked with ASA's mandate and activities to conduct home visits and ensure the beneficiaries are targeted by adequate activities and support.

The project is planned for an initial duration of 8 months and can be reconduct depending on fundings.

Thus position is a part time position. Working hours are flexible and depends on the activities (can go up to 10 working days per month).

Description of taks:

1 - DESIGN OF THE ACTIVITIES' CONTENT

With the help of the board members and the volunteers, the project manager will define the work plan, the budget allocation for each activity and the activities implemented for the beneficiaires (events, awareness sessions) according to identified needs.

Set up indicators for each objectives in order to evaluate the impact of the project.

2 - IMPLEMENTATION AND MONITORIING OF ACTIVITIES

Activities:

Implementation of the activities by following up on all aspects of the project (HR, admin, finance, procurement, logistics)

Follow-up on the activities by ensuring that all elements of the projects are implemented;

Monitoring qualitative project implementation, ensuring successful realization and achievement of project’s objectives and indicators.

Collection and archive of verification sources (for procurement, indicators, end reports...)

Proposition of any adjustment of the project whenever needed (change of context, delay in the implementation, identification of new needs, etc.)

Monitoring:

Ensuring the quality of work of the different involved staff through regular monitoring (follow up on all activities)

Ensuring quality, accuracy and confidentiality of data.

3- REPORTING

Keeping track of all aspects of the project

Consolidating all the information to produce narrative and financial reports (monthly and end of project reports)

Note taking of all the activities and compilation for the reports.

Reports any constraints or problems faced during the project implementation

4- OTHER

The project manager could be tasked with other responsabilities depending on the project implementation, including identifying new sources of funding, and should therefore remain flexible.
