ABOUT ABAAD
ABAAD – Resource Centre for Gender Equality is a UN ECOSOC-accredited organization that aims to achieve gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region.
I. Position Summary:
We are looking for detail-oriented and organized volunteers to support with the physical organization of print resources and publications available at our office. These include books, reports, manuals, and toolkits produced by various organizations and currently located in the resource library and office space.
The volunteers will help with sorting, categorizing, and arranging these resources and contribute to creating a clear, user-friendly tracking sheet to support accessibility and future reference.
II. Key Responsibilities:
· Review and sort existing physical materials and printings (books, reports, toolkits, etc.).
· Organize resources in a logical and accessible manner (by theme, type, or a new method to be proposed by the volunteer).
· Label, arrange, and shelve materials in the library or designated office spaces.
· Create or support the development of a tracking sheet (Excel or manual) to log available materials and locations.
· Report missing, duplicated, or damaged items.
· Maintain the tidiness and organization of the resource area throughout the process.
III. Requirements:
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work on-site based on agreed hours.
· Familiarity with Excel or basic inventory methods is a plus.
· Reliable, proactive, and respectful of the workspace.
· No prior experience required.
