Training On “How To Engage Front-Line Workers In Combating Child Marriage”
Call for participation
ABAAD-Resource Center for Gender Equality in partnership with HIVOS, and in collaboration with MARSA and the Syrian League for Citizenship, is planning to conduct a one (1) day training on “How to engage front-line workers in combating child marriage”. The training aims to introduce the participants to the interlinkages between child marriage and GBV against girls and provide them with interactive tools and exercises to catalyze discussions on the topic with adolescent girls and their families.
The training will encompass the following:
- Introduction to the intersection between child marriage and GBV against girls
- How to use the video animation produced by ABAAD and UNICEF; “Marriage is not a game!” as an educational tool with affected communities
- Learn and practice the use of several interactive tools aimed at facilitating discussions with girls and their families on child marriage
The training is geared towards frontline service providers from all sectors including health, education, protection, WASH, among others. Applicants MUST fulfill the following requirements:
At least 6 months experience working with adolescent girls and their families; preference will be given to individuals working with refugee communities
Must be working in Lebanon and is committed to attend ALL training hours
The training will be held on Monday, June 22nd at Hotel Radisson Blu Martinez – Ein el Mreisseh, Beirut. The training hours will be from 9AM until 4PM.
