Trainer on Women's legal rights | Supporting Women on Board of Syndicates, Universities and Board of Organizations (Phase 2) 

About the Program:   
 LLWB, in partnership with UK embassy Foreign, Commonwealth & Development office (FCDO) is leading on a project that aims to facilitate and increase female representation on the boards of organisations, syndicates, and universities, promoting gender equality and diversity in decision-making positions.   

In this program LLWB has conducted participatory gender audits of 2 academic institutions. And is now in the phase of developing the gender action plans of the institutions These activities, will lead to another phase in the project which is training to 30 women of each academic institution.  the trainings will have various topics preparing women to be on Boards of institutions, associations and or businesses, and understand the main discrimination faced to be women on boards.  

The project will also, in a later phase, mentor 5 selected women from these institutions to be members of boards as per LLWB flagship journey of supporting women in boards of institutions.   

The project will also support selected women from each institution to have a well-known certificate in board diversity and directors' program.  

Scope of Consultancy:
     
      
LLWB is seeking a qualified short-term trainer to conduct training on 2 different days to 2 different academic entities. The trainer is expected to give a training session for 2 or 3 hours in person or online, on Women's legal rights.  

Each trainer will give a training to a group of 30 women participants from each university, who will be divided into 2 groups of 15 person each. The trainer will conduct a total of 4 training sessions, with 2 sessions dedicated to each entity each day.
The profile of the participants to the trainings high level experts, professors, assistant professors, Dr. and staff from the 2 well known universities from Lebanon. 

The ideal trainer should have extensive knowledge and experience in the topic addressed. They should demonstrate a proven track record of facilitating workshops in professional settings and possess strong communication interpersonal skills to effectively engage diverse audiences. Additionally, the trainer should be able to create an inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and interaction among participants.  

This will include:   

  • Targeted Women's legal rights Training where the trainer will deliver focused training sessions tailored specifically for participants from the two distinct universities 
  • Skill Development by equipping participants with practical skills and knowledge to implement Women's legal rights initiatives effectively. 
  • The trainer will create a customized training program presented in power point that addresses the specific D Women's legal rights needs of participants, including an overview of Women's legal rights concepts, systemic biases, and strategies for creating equitable policies. 

 

Required Qualifications:                                                                                                           

  • Applicants must hold a degree in business, social sciences, Law, socio-economic sciences, gender studies, or any other relevant field. The following qualifications are required;  
  • At least three years of work experience in conducting training and organizing workshops related to Women's legal rights.  
  • Great communication skills in Arabic and English 
  • Relevant experience with NGOs and universities, and private firms in the arenas of organizational development, raising safeguarding and accountability standards.  
  • Fluency in Arabic is necessary.  
  • Ability to produce professional training sessions in English and in Arabic is required. LLWB will select the trainer for the assignment, considering the proposal submitted by the applicant, experience, and availability.  

Deliverables:   

  • Report outlining methodology and work plan of the training assignment.  
  • Send 3 to 4 questions and answers for LLWB PM and officer for the pre and post-test to  measure the progress of the attendees before and after the session 
  • Short Power point Presentation in Arabic and English with key learning outcomes for high level professionals that would be delivered to the participants and to LLWB, and that uses the LLWB design.  
  • A one paragraph covering the activity that was held, and the training organized with pictures and quotes from participants to be used on social media and the website. 

With this call for proposal, LLWB requests interested experts to express their interest and send a cover letter with clear commitment to conducting the Training, the expert needs to send a financial proposal covering all the above deliverables and ensure that MOF certification is needed.    

Note: Failing to provide these documents will lead to a deduction of the withholding tax (8.5%) as per the Lebanese Law.

  • An updated CV with at least 2 references. 
  • A cover letter outlining relevant experience and qualifications. In PDF, with a clear financial proposal in USD dollars covering the 2 days of training (4 sessions of 15 forms) and all the preparations and after training material to be sent to LLWB. The lumpsum sent should include all taxes.  
  • Copy of passports or IDs and Lebanese financial registration documents.
