Context & Background
Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.
Through the Agrytech Accelerator Program, startups receive support to develop their Minimum Viable Product, test it with early adopters, and build their capacity to establish their business from marketing, financial, management and operational levels. The Program aims to contribute to job creation and sustainable economic development while advancing the Lebanese entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The Agrytech Accelerator Program's mission is to nurture and grow proof of concepts, and prototypes that share three common characteristics:
- An innovation with scientific or technological focus in the agri-food sector.
- The possibility to scale beyond the local market
- The potential to create sustainable job opportunities locally
Scope of work
The Accelerator Program seeks to empower entrepreneurs to build their go to market strategies, understand their competitive landscape and position themselves and develop their market testing plan. The selected candidate will be required to deliver 4 in-person 3-hour Go-To-Market Workshops and 7 one on one sessions with each of the 12 startups covering the following:
- Assist startups in developing or refining their initial business model to serve as a strategic roadmap for their upcoming milestones.
- Clarify the goals and advantages of a Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, and introduce entrepreneurs to its key components, laying a strong foundation for market entry.
- Guide startups in crafting target personas and identifying unmet market needs and gaps, ensuring alignment between product offering and customer demand.
- Support startups in building their comprehensive GTM strategy by addressing key elements, including:
- Identifying the target market and customer segments
- Developing a compelling value proposition
- Refining pricing strategies
- Creating a promotion and outreach plan, including defining sales and distribution channels
- Help startups analyze their competitive landscape and advise them on how to effectively position themselves within the market to gain a competitive edge.
- Assist in identifying the initial 'beachhead' market and developing a strategic plan for their pilot launch or scaling efforts.
- Introduce essential success and performance metrics, such as customer acquisition cost (CAC), customer lifetime value (CLV), conversion rates, and sales cycle length, to help startups track and optimize their market entry.
- Guide startups in establishing strategic partnerships and collaborations, enhancing their GTM efforts and strengthening their market positioning.
The final outcome of this component is for startups to have a well-defined, written Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy that includes all key elements. Workshops will be highly interactive and engaging, incorporating practical, sector-specific examples to ensure hands-on learning and actionable insights.
Deliverables:
- Four in-person 3-hour Go-To-Market Workshops.
- Up to 7 one-on-one sessions for 12 startups (total of 84 sessions), to be delivered between November 2024 and March 2025. The duration of each session is 45 minutes to 1h.
- Workshop material (PowerPoint presentation)
- Go-to market strategy for every startup (total 12 strategies)
- Feedback on the progress of each startup after each clinic
- Final report on each startup
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably with a startup or in a startup environment.
- Previous experience working with agritech businesses or startups is a plus.
- Possess strong professional credentials and go to market knowledge and skills
- Demonstrates strong communications skills and professional credibility to influence entrepreneurs.
