Call for Applications - Freelance Grants Manager

The Goethe-Institut Lebanon is looking for a Freelance Grants Manager starting from March (or later) until November 30, 2022 to work in coordination with the FANTASMEEM team in order to establish a support structure for the design scene in Lebanon.

Services to be provided by the Grants Manager:

• Fundraising for a project based in Lebanon to develop a long-term structure to foster and support the design economy in Lebanon
  • Research and scouting for potential public and private grants, sponsors and funding opportunities on a local, national as well as international level
  • Preparation of applications for local, national and international funding opportunities in close collaboration with the FANTASMEEM team
• Responsibility for donor engagement on a local, national and international level
  • Act as focal point for all internal and external communications with donors and funding partners
• Responsibility for grants management of public and private funds, grants and donations
  • Development of a coherent and compliant budget plan in close collaboration with the FANTASMEEM team
  • Monitoring and controlling of the project’s budget build up on sponsoring/fundraising/collaborations, including the development of a donor compliant financial controlling strategy
  • Reporting to the FANTASMEEM team on a regular basis about fundraising and budgeting updates and statuses
• Networking and public relations communication for the overall project, as well as specific targeting of donors and project partners
  • Strategize and ensure overall visibility and communications of the project in close collaboration with the Creative Program Coordinator and the Operations Coordinator

The requirements:

• Proven experience in fundraising efforts on a local and national level for a non-profit organization
• Strong networking and communication skills
• Experience in the conception, development and successful implementation of projects in the cultural and creative field in Lebanon, also in cooperation with local and/or international NGOs
• Proven knowledge of the design scene design in Lebanon and the field of design/creative entrepreneurship in Lebanon
• Proficiency in English and Arabic, both spoken and written
