Job Duties

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Local and International donors.
  • Stay up to date with any new project opportunity that falls under LRD’s Mission.
  • Determine proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs; studying requests for proposal (RFPs); attending strategy meetings.
  • Meet proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; entering and monitoring tracking data; coordinating requirements with contributors; contributing proposal status information to review meetings; transmitting proposals.
  • Gather proposal information by identifying sources of information; coordinating submissions and collections; identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals.
  • Develop proposal by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation.
  • Maintain quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; maintaining proposal support databases.
  • Obtain approvals by reviewing proposal with key providers and related parties.
  • Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

  • Strong capacities in project cycle management and budget.
  • Familiarity with the Lebanese economy, market, Labor Market and Social Entrepreneurship.
  • Very good communication, coordination and diplomacy.
  • Integrity, fairness and impartiality.
  • Ability to manage sensitive cases and confidential information.
  • Ability to work under pressure

 

Requirements

  • Language skills: Excellent in English and Arabic
  • Education degree: University degree in Business Administration, Micro-economics, Vocational Technical Education and Training or any related field
  • Work experience:  At least 5 years of experience in a similar position (NGOs/private companies) in Business Development projects, Employment Projects.
  • Knowledge and skills: knowledge in business development, business coaching and training, internships and/or vocational trainings are strong assets.
  • Computer skills: very good knowledge of the MS office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience in training provision is a strong asset. Experience working with humanitarian projects is a strong asset.
