The Berghof Foundation is an independent, non-governmental and non-profit organisation that supports efforts to prevent political and social violence, and to achieve sustainable peace through conflict transformation. Consultancy for Needs Assessment and Initiative Development

The project, in partnership with GIZ, aims to improve local governance and social cohesion in Lebanon by involving communities in decision-making. It will take place in the Bekaa, South Baalbek, Hasbaya, and Mount Lebanon areas.

Objective: The consultancy will help 25 villages conduct needs assessments and develop practical initiatives in areas like infrastructure, health, education, and social cohesion.

Scope of Work:
Needs Assessment: Hold workshops in each village to identify community needs and challenges.

من ضمن مبادرة حوار وطني متعدد المسارات، يحاول مسار "التعامل مع الماضي" تنسيق إحياء ذكرى مرور 50 عاماً على حرب عام 1975 في إطار وطني وشامل يجمع جميع شرائح المجتمع (الدولة والأحزاب والسياسيين والمجتمع المدني والمنظمات غير الحكومية والأوساط الأكاديمية والشباب) متجاوزين أي حساسيات سابقة، للتعاون في عمل نبيل يتذكٌر هذا الفصل المحزن من تاريخنا، عن طريق تسليط الضوء على القواسم المشتركة الوطنية (في هذه الحالة: الخسارة والألم المشترك) ساعيين لتعزيز المصالحة الوطنية وتشجيع عملية التعافي واستقاء العبر والدروس التي تمكّن من الانتقال نحو مستقبل أفضل.
