Nine years into the Syrian Crisis, Lebanon hosts approximately 1.5m Syrian refugees including 924,161 registered with UNHCR as of August 2019 . In addition to an increasingly precarious protection environment, high levels of WaSH vulnerabilities persist amongst refugees in the country, and tensions with host communities increasingly revolve around competition for water resources and the environmental and public health impacts of poor sanitation practices

LAW is currently seeking a Legal Information Officer (LIO) based in Mount Lebanon. The LIO should be a law student or have a law degree. They will work with lawyers to assist in the provision of legal information to community members, with a focus on survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (GBV) and Syrian refugees requiring birth or marriage registration. They will not provide legal advice but will dispense information about legal rights, relevant legislation and available services and assist clients to access the courts where appropriate.

Project Synopsis:
Shabaket el Meem aims to provide LGBTQ youth in Lebanon and in the region with sex-positive information regarding their lives. This project is funded by the Dutch Embassy in Lebanon for the purpose of creating a virtual safe space for the LGBTQ community, providing information and support to LGBTQ youth.

The project coordinator in “Strengthening access to protection, participation and services for women refugees, IDPs and host communities” project will be recruited based on an open competitive process. He / She will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of the project activities in RDFL’s center and will report to the project manager on the progress of the project in the designated area.

Starting Date: As soon as possible – October 2019

The psychologist in “Strengthening access to protection, participation and services for women refugees, IDPs and host communities” project will be recruited based on an open competitive process. The psychologist will be present in RDFL’s center to provide psychosocial and psychological support to GBV and SGBV survivors. The psychologist will work and liaise closely with GBV supervisor and project coordinator.
Starting Date: As soon as possible – October 2019

LA is looking for a project lawyer to be based in Akkar, working out of an LA legal aid centre, and in the future potentially also working out of an SDC.  The position will be a consultancy position for one year with the possibility of extension. The lawyer will provide legal information, assistance and representation to Lebanese and refugee clients, with a focus on gender-based violence cases, late registration of births for Syrian refugees, and statelessness cases.

Social Relief and Welfare Association also known as Al Moasat is a non-profit association in charge of charity, culture, social activities, health, education, productivity and training workshops that deal with community service. Currently, it has 125 employees, mostly women who are heads of their households. The association started in the 1960’s through a Free Clinic founded by young people from Saida. Its aim was to serve the community in Saida and its neighborhood.

Operationalizing Human Security in Tripoli for Women and Girls

The Case Worker provides direct support and case management to vulnerable women and girls as part of the team in various locations in the North Governate including:
• Case management services located in Women and Girls’ Community Centers or community-based safe spaces;
• Psychosocial activities in Women and Girls’ Community Centers and/or community-based safe spaces.
