For 100 years, the Near East Foundation (NEF) has worked to build more sustainable, prosperous, and inclusive communities in the Middle East, Caucasus, and Africa through education, governance, and economic development initiatives. Working through a network of country offices and local partners, NEF currently has approximately 250 staff members – almost all nationals – and programs in ten countries: Armenia, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Mali, Morocco, Palestine, Sudan, South Sudan, and Syria. In Jordan, the Near East Foundation’s (NEF’s) microenterprise creation and resilience-building program includes training in life and business skills, cash grants to finance microenterprises, and additional support for these enterprises.

Near East Foundation (NEF) is seeking a qualified and experienced consultant to undertake a comprehensive review of the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Curriculum. This curriculum plays a crucial role in our mission to enhance self-reliance and resilience of project participants including vulnerable Refugees and Lebanese. The MHPSS curriculum is comprised of 8 group sessions delivered in person by PSS facilitators addressing stressors, identifying, and dealing with difficult emotions, self-compassion, and self-care.

The NEF Lebanon office is seeking to hire a money transfer service provider for transferring USD funds to beneficiaries of projects located in the Bekaa, North, South, and Beirut governorates. Market assessments play a vital role, helping NEF adapt to market changes, identify resilient business sectors, and guide their programming efforts. The focus is on market context, opportunities, constraints, livelihood capacities, and employment trends, particularly for women, youth and people with disabilities.2

The NEF Lebanon office is looking to contract a rental vehicle company for the provision of vehicles and daily drivers for a period of 1 year commencing on October 1st, 2023, and ending on September 29th, 2024.

NEF Lebanon is looking for an Enterprise Development and Livelihoods consultant for a six-month engagement. The consultant's primary responsibilities will include:
1. Reviewing the newly designed program.
2. Assessing its strengths and weaknesses.
3. Proposing recommendations for improvements and modifications.
4. Assisting the team in developing technical tools and processes.
5. Collaborating with the NEF Lebanon team to formulate a program strategy and a roadmap for implementing changes in line with that strategy.
