“Building Safe Spaces to Foster the Resilience of Syrian Children” is a project implemented by FDCD with the support of MCC and Danmission in Syria. It aims to foster child protection and psychosocial care at the local level within host communities and internally-displaced populations. The program equips five Child-Friendly Spaces (CFS) in different areas of Syria, and provides trainings for staff and volunteers who run the centres. Each month, the centres provide developmentally appropriate activities for children, as well as a safe-space for emotional processing and building life skills.

Assess Lebanese youths’ attitudes about political and public engagement and participation, peacebuilding, Integration and conflict resolution, as well as the general attitudes and perceptions of Lebanese youth and refugees living through the current crisis in Lebanon.

Following the Beirut port explosion, the Lebanese society is in ruins. The explosion has only added to the crises faced by the Lebanese society, but mainly the port did not only destroy concrete and steel, it shattered an already fragile social fabric and reignited old hatred and fear of different other.

From the strong faith in youth and civil society, FDCD alongside its partner DanMission, saw that a very important component in restoring the torn and tattered social fabric is our right and duty to participate in public affairs and be part of the monitoring, and reform process.

Intercultural Dialogue for Peace and Development (IDPD) in Syria is a four-year project that began in 2018 and is scheduled to continue until 2021. FDCD works with existing civil society organizations, which largely came about organically in response to the immediate and pressing needs of their communities, to give them the knowledge and tools they need to build sustainable results and lasting outcomes.

Interfaith and intercultural dialogue – one of our 3-year projects Funded by the European Union is
being implemented in Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon by FDCD and two other partners: Iraqi al-Amal
Association (Al Amal) and Danmission.
One of our main activities is to encourage younger researchers through its academic stakeholders to
conduct research in the field of interreligious dialogue and related fields to produce new knowledge
and strengthening these topics to be well-established as academic areas.
