The EuroMed Feminist Initiative - Calls

EuroMed Feminist Initiative (EFI) is a policy network that provides expertise in the field of gender equality, democracy building and citizenship, and advocates for political solutions to all conflicts, and peoples´ rights to self-determination. It encompasses women’s rights organizations from the two shores of the Mediterranean and seeks to correct the gender power imbalances through ending discrimination and oppression of women and bringing about positive change for the whole society.

It encompasses women’s rights organizations from the two shores of the Mediterranean and seeks to correct the gender power imbalances through ending discrimination and oppression of women and bringing about positive change for the whole society.

EFI is currently working with Syrian partner organisations to advocate for the adoption and implementation of the NAP1325 (Women, Peace and Security); campaign for the amendment of discriminatory elements in the Personal Status Law and the penal code; promote a comprehensive law to abolish and criminalize VAWG in all its forms.

EFI’s partners will be provided with specialized advanced trainings on communication skills, using social media platforms, community outreach, and building networks and synergies on WR and GE issues including women’s participation in the public sphere and decision making, the WPSA, the implementation of NAP1325, advocacy for amending discriminatory articles in the PSL and penal code, and the promotion of a comprehensive law on the protection from VAWG. These trainings will be replicated to support the spread of gained knowledge and skills. The ToT will have 15 participants.

EFI has developed important tools such as the “ABC for a Gender-Sensitive Legislation”, a guide that aims to provide a feminist perspective on democratic legislations making in a systematic and accessible way

In this contexte, EFI aims to produce 10 videos in English and 10 in Arabic on the content of the handbook “ABC for a Gender-Sensitive Legislation”

The Overall Responsibility as a Social Media Expert & content creator is:
• To be responsible for managing the social media accounts of the Lebanon National Gender Observatory
• To be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the Observatory’s social media strategy in order to promote its work and increase awareness about gender issues in Lebanon

EFI is looking for a Gender Mainstream Resercher to work in collaboration with the Research Policy Group and with the National Gender Observatory coordinator and researchers. The GMR would provide expertise in gender mainstreaming across all ministries and works in close collaboration them.

The documentary will be used as an advocacy tool to advocate for gender sensitive legislation and constitution

EFI aims to produce 6 videos in English (that will be translated to Arabic) on the content of the handbook “ABC for a Gender-Sensitive Constitution.” The video will incorporate infographics, animated characters and narration. The animator/firm should have modern production equipment and qualified creative personnel capable of designing creative concepts with guidance from our internal communications team.

With the aim of supporting human rights defenders and activists to use privacy tools and tactics more effectively in their work, by learning how to increase digital security and privacy, EuroMed Feminist Initiative is looking to establish a framework agreement with a learning center or a consultant to design and to provide an online cybersecurity training.
